Guggle 1.4

What you have to do in the Faraway Frontiers-developed game Guggle is explore a magical kingdom and guide the blue bubble around the levels. You will have to guide Guggle through a grand total of 36 levels – which will take a bit of time. Speaking of guiding Guggle, you do it by tilting your device up, down, left and right, and by rotating your device so that Guggle moves in the correct direction. It is thus fairly easy to get Guggle to move around; getting him to safely move around is another matter.

Going through the abovementioned 36 levels is not as easy as merrily strolling through the park. There are dangers lurking around, dangers that Guggle must avoid. Without the element of danger, the game would be very boring. But by adding spikes and other dangers, the game combines the excitement of exploring some very good looking levels with the thrill of avoiding dangers.

When you are done with the 36 levels the game has to offer, you don’t have to give it up – you can still play it. Guggle comes with a handy party trick: a level editor. You can use the editor to come up with your own, personalized levels. Or if you have a friend who’s passionate about Guggle, you can collaborate with that friend. You can create levels and let him play them, and he can create levels for you to play. This gives the game endless replayability. 

From an audiovisual point of view, I have to say that the game is quite good looking. Words are meaningless here. Showing you how the game looks is a far more efficient way to go about. There are two videos you can check out on YouTube to see how the game looks like – one here and the other here.

Guggle is a good looking and exciting game. You will explore many levels, avoid dangers, and when you’re done, create more levels and keep having fun.
